Chinese Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy is a national first-class academic journal, which is supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, sponsored by Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, and undertaken by the Institute of Antibiotics of Huashan Hospital, Fudan University. The editor-in-chief is Professor Zhang Yingyuan, a distinguished expert in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and clinical application of antimicrobial agents. This journal has an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) of 1009-7708 and CN Serial Number of CN 31-1965/R. It has been listed by a number of databases at home and abroad, including Source Journals for Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations (Core Journals) endorsed by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), and Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database (CAJCED), as well as Embase, WHO Western Pacific Region Index Medicus (WPRIM), and Scopus database. This journal is also recognized as one of the core journals under the section of clinical medicine/special medicine in the book of “A Guide to the Core Journals of China” published by Peking University Press.
This journal was founded in 2001, formerly known as Chinese Journal of Anti-infective Chemotherapy, and renamed as Chinese Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy since 2006. It aims to improve the professional level in diagnosis and antimicrobial treatment of infectious diseases through academic communication. The articles about the following topics are appropriate for publication in this journal: (1) pathogenic diagnosis of infectious diseases, including those caused by bacteria, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, mycobacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites, or other pathogens; (2) clinical evaluation of new antimicrobial agents; (3) surveillance of bacterial resistance and study on the mechanisms of bacterial resistance; (4) prevention and treatment of hospital-acquired infections; (5) in vitro and in vivo pharmacodynamic study of antimicrobial drugs; (6) clinical pharmacokinetic study of antimicrobial drugs; (7) experimental studies on the pharmacology of antimicrobial drugs; (8) clinical experience, case analysis, and case report about the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. The main sections include Expert Forum, Original Article, Clinical Research, Experimental Study, Case Report, Review, Compilation, Information Exchange. Doctors and nurses from various specialties, clinical laboratorians, pharmacists, hospital infection management professionals, microbiologists, and antimicrobial treatment professionals are welcomed to contribute and subscribe to Chinese Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy.
Chinese Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy has an impact factor of 2.059 in the 2021 China S&T Journal Citation Reports (Core Journals), ranking first among the journals in either the specialty or the discipline of infectious diseases. This journal also has an impact factor of 2.554 in the Annual Report for Chinese Academic Journal Impact Factors (Natural Science and Engineering, 2021 Edition), ranking third among 126 journals of comprehensive clinical medicine and fourth among 116 journals of internal medicine.
